Hey, a special Friday edition of the Bandwagoner's Guide!

LISTEN: Pitt Volleyball podcast with Zack from Semple Fi

Well, let’s get back to talking about volleyball.

I missed my self-assigned Thursday deadline for this latest post due to *the unprecedented times we live in* so please accept this belated submission.

Zack Kaminski from the Semple Fi Podcast was kind enough to invite me onto the show, and it went for… an hour?! Oh geez. Well, if you’re so inclined, I enjoyed my time talking with Zack about the team — the dude knows his stuff about Pitt Volleyball (and sorry I kept interrupting you).

We covered Pitt’s National Player of the Year of the candidates (yes, there are multiple), the mid-match changes Dan Fisher has been making, the main keys that have turned Pitt from ‘great’ to ‘great but also #1’ this season, and what we’re looking for when the NCAA Tournament bracket comes out in just three short weeks.

Here you have the Apple Podcasts version:

And here is the Spotify link:

If you don’t have the time, there is a much shorter podcast (25 minuntes) with Matthew Scabilloni from The Pitt News and Dom Campbell from Inside The Panthers talking with Pitt associate head coach Kellen Petrone, and you will absolutely learn more from Kellen than from me. Kellen is in charge of Pitt Volleyball’s recruiting, and if you haven’t noticed by now, he’s *excellent* at recruiting great players.

And since I don’t have a column to provide you today, please enjoy Chuck Curti’s story in the Tribune-Review in which he talks to past Pitt players about the early days of the Dan Fisher era. Chuck’s an excellent reporter who has been following the team for years, and it was fun to go back in time with him through this story.

Back to regular posts on Monday!
