Read the ESPN feature, email a KDKA-TV reporter, listen to Semple Fi

Friends, writer’s block hit at a tough time for this newsletter (I had just wrapped up an important writing project at work), so the next big piece will come Monday after the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

1. Read this ESPN feature story by Aishwarya Kumar on the mindset and culture that has helped Pitt become the nation’s #1 team. It’s the caliber of longform, in-depth reporting that I have been hoping to see about this team for a long time.
   
2. More urgent! If you want to talk to KDKA-TV reporter Shelley Bortz about the team this afternoon, email her right away at sjbortz31@gmail.com to see about a Zoom interview. They’re looking for fans to talk about the team, but fast!
   
3. Less urgent: I had a great time talking with Zack Kaminski of the Semple Fi podcast and fellow guest Matthew Scabilloni of The Pitt News to preview the NCAA Tournament. It was too great a time, in fact, that we went beyond an hour. Fair warning!
