Twitter Roundup: I Wasn't Alone in My Outrage!
There were two types of people who agreed with me: Pitt fans and non-Pitt fans.

This is Day 3 of 22 for the Bandwagoner’s Guide to Pitt Volleyball, as I take you all the way through the NCAA tournament.
My name is James Santelli, and after putting a lot of time into the first two days of newsletters, I’m phoning in this one. You’ll get more in-depth tournament analysis later this week.
You get what you don’t pay for!
THANKS, ALL YINZ! KEEP IN TOUCH!
I poured all the vitriol I could muster into yesterday’s Selection Show Recap/Airing Of Grievances.
So, a hearty THANK YOU to all of you who read, liked and shared it.
I’m looking to do more analysis in the days ahead, including a mailbag/FAQ to help my fellow bandwagoners before Pitt’s NCAA opener Friday night against Howard.
If you have questions you would like answered in the mailbag, email me at jrsantelli@gmail.com or tweet me.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid committee decisions.
NOW, ON TO THE FILLER!
One of the only silver linings from Selection Sunday was the united front of Pitt fans squawking back at the NCAA.
PITT WAS ROBBED

@NCAAVolleyball @BaylorVBall @StanfordWVB @TexasVolleyball @BadgerVB @ESPNU Wisconsin above Pitt is criminal
— Patrick Reven (@PatReven) 1:02 AM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
@NCAAVolleyball @BaylorVBall @StanfordWVB @TexasVolleyball @BadgerVB @ESPNU I think it's great that you all hate Pitt.
— So Much Hail (@SoMuchHail) 1:04 AM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
I wrote around 900 words covering the ridiculousness of Pitt’s low seed, but some people had better internal editors.
@NCAAVolleyball @BaylorVBall @StanfordWVB @TexasVolleyball @BadgerVB @ESPNU Just change your selection criteria to "must have one B1G team in the Top 4" so you can stop pretending you're fair.
— Tony Jovenitti (@jovenitti) 1:36 AM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
@ASaunders_PGH The committees for MVB & WVB are made up of a handful of former players; and the college vball world is small, and insular. There isn't a lot of sophistication that goes into the selection process, so it's insanely-political. 12 programs have won all of the nat. titles in WVB.

@NCAAVolleyball @BaylorVBall @StanfordWVB @TexasVolleyball @BadgerVB @ESPNU I’m sorry, but this is wrong not having Pitt in the top 4. Ranked #2, better RPI now than Wisconsin, swept Ohio State (who Wisconsin lost to), swept Penn State in Rec Hall (where Wisconsin just lost), and 1 < 6. Strength of schedule only goes so far. #H2P
— Justin Klimchak (@J_Klim14) 1:05 AM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
Brevity is… wit.
@NCAAVolleyball @Pitt_VB So you are saying that #2 is actually #6. I don’t your math.
— Jeff Fagan (@JeffH2P) 1:45 AM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
I even saw a couple of non-Pitt fans going to bat for us.
@NCAAVolleyball @BaylorVBall @StanfordWVB @TexasVolleyball @BadgerVB @ESPNU 👀
— Cheesetrader (@cheesetrader1) 1:07 AM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
Oh wow - A) I'm thrilled to get to go to a couple more home games at the beloved Field House B) I feel guilty b/c Pitt really did seem to have the better resume to my eyes
@StevePrimrose @NCAAVolleyball @BaylorVBall @StanfordWVB @TexasVolleyball @BadgerVB @ESPNU OOC - they played PSU x 2, Utah, Cincy, So Carolina, Cal Poly and UWGB - all likely tourney teams - plus tOSU and what was considered to be a very good Ducks team before they all got hurt.
— Cheesetrader (@cheesetrader1) 1:17 AM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
That's not a bad OOC at all.
Can't control the conference and they swept it.
@jmurphpitt @NCAAVolleyball I'm a B1G fan and I agree Pitt should have gotten at least #5.

And then there were the GIFs.
@NCAAVolleyball @BaylorVBall @StanfordWVB @TexasVolleyball @BadgerVB @ESPNU Alright Pitt fans get in here

SHOUT-OUT TO THE STARS
Pitt head coach Dan Fisher is fond of saying he has a complete team, building the Panthers without any top-50 high school recruits.
But there are always standout players, and on Monday they were honored with all-ACC designations, including a well-deserved Player of the Year award for junior Kayla Lund. It’s the first time a Pitt player has won the honor.
Kayla Lund has been named the 2019 #ACCVB Player of the Year!
— ACC Volleyball (@ACCVolleyball) 9:04 PM ∙ Dec 2, 2019
She helped @Pitt_VB become the first ACC team to finish undefeated in conference play since 2004!

Sabrina Starks, 2nd in the ACC in blocks per set and 4th in conference play in hitting percentage? You were robbed.
Catch you tomorrow. Remember, if you’ve got questions, email me at jrsantelli@gmail.com or tweet me.
